“Being a member of Align has been transformative for me. I was looking for a way to build core strength and flexibility and it has been exactly what I was looking for. I love the mix of classes and teachers, how easy it is to book, and the friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It's a beautiful place to be”

FAQs

  • We provide all the mats and equipment you need for the class. However, if you have your own mat then you’re welcome to bring it with you. Don’t forget water!

If you are coming to a workshop, wear comfortable clothing you can move in, and maybe a scarf or light blanket for relaxation, although blankets are also provided.

  • Keep an eye out for our beginners courses if you are a complete beginner.

In the weekly schedule, we recommend Monday 6pm for Yoga Foundations with Michelle and Amy’s Hatha Basics on Thursday 9.30am.

  • There are some strong similarities between Yoga and Pilates, including breathing techniques, core muscle activation, mobility, balance and strength.

Yoga tends to be more of a flowing sequence of movements which requires good mobility of the joints and length of the muscles. There is also a dedicated section for relaxation within the class and to practise mindfulness and meditation.

Breathing techniques in yoga help with relaxing the body and mind, whereas in Pilates they are used to help with activating the correct core muscles.

There is more time spent on the floor during a Pilates class, with the focus on keeping the body/core stable while moving and strengthening joints, like the hips and shoulders. Pilates uses repetitive muscle activation with small equipment (hand weights, balls and pilates circles) to help build strength.

As there is more focus on control, Pilates is a great way to exercise if you’re coming back from injury.

Yoga is a great way to exercise if you need to work more on mobility and flexibility, this would compliment other gym programmes, such as running, cycling and strength.

  • The studio is usually around 18-20 degrees.

A warm class heats up to 22-25 degrees

A hot class is set at 30 degrees using our far infrared panels, that create a dry heat with many health benefits including a deeper practice.

  • Booking is simple on the ‘Timetable’ page on the website or on the BSport App.

You will need to create a log in on the BSport platyform to book and manage classes.

You will be given options about how to pay for your class, as a single booking or to buy multiple class packs.

  • If you are using the BSport App you will see CANCEL under ‘group activities’ and a list of your class bookings.

If you are logging on via a desktop you will need to click on your name in the top right hand corner. On this drop down menu you will see ‘my account’

If you click on this your screen will change to a list of your bookings and you should see CANCEL in red under the booking. Click on this to remove yourself from the class.

If you have paid for the class as an individual booking or as part of a pack then the credit will go back into your account for you to use again. As long as you cancel within the 2hr period for classes and 24hr for wokshops.

    1. Unlimited Membership for £110 per month (3 month minimum contract) This allows unlimited classes throughout the month. If you come 3 x per week it will cost just over £9 per class.

    2. Class Packs of 5, 10 & 20 for 60minute classes or 5 & 10 for 45 minute classes. The more classes you purchase, the cheaper the class!
